LinkedIn Removed Top Contributors from Groups to Change How the Game Is Played

If you visited a group on LinkedIn in the past, you probably noticed that some participants received recognition for contributing to discussions more than others. In 2015, this feature went away, much to the surprise of some users. LinkedIn wished to encourage more people to participate and remove a sense of hierarchy. They also mentioned that posts flagged as inappropriate will be removed in a quicker fashion – this adds credibility to the groups and keeps the spam at bay. There will no longer be any cover images in groups. People will be able to read content more easily.

YouTube Decided To Tighten the Rules for Sponsorship Deals

It’s hard to ignore the influence that this website has on the online world as a whole. Thousands of videos get uploaded on YouTube each day, and some users are popular enough to make a living from their content. If someone has a sponsor, Google wants a cut. If you want to display the logo of a sponsor in a video, you can’t do so unless Google is getting something out of it. The company providing funding for your work has to have an ad deal in place with Google. The details aren’t completely clear, and you may find yourself with more questions than answers. However, it’s something to be aware of in order to avoid problems.

Facebook Launched an “At Work” App

Have you ever worried about communication limitations in your office? Facebook created an app that addresses your concerns and makes it easy for employees to connect with their colleagues. The color scheme is different, so if you see someone on a page, you will know they’re working and not posting pictures from a recent vacation.
