Fleet Graphics FAQ

We operate in multiple states – how can we ensure all our fleet vehicles get the same wrap quality?
We’ve got you covered. We use a combination of centralized printing and our certified installer network to handle multi-location fleets. First, we keep your design master files and color profiles consistent. We often print all graphics in one place (at our HQ) to ensure color consistency. Then we utilize our network of vetted 3M Certified Installers across the country. These are professionals we trust (often part of the same networks we’re in, like the UASG or 3M’s network) to apply the graphics to our standards. We will ship the printed wrap or decal kits to their shop (or even directly to a dealership or depot where the vehicle is). Our project managers coordinate scheduling with those local installers. They apply the graphics following the template we provide. We often request photos of completed work for QC, or we’ll periodically travel to spot-check if needed. The end result: whether your truck is wrapped here in our city or in a far-off state, it will have the same high-quality look and adherence. We essentially bring our service to your vehicles wherever they are. Many national fleets use this method; it saves on transport costs and downtime. We handle all the logistics behind the scenes – you just see the final outcome: a uniformly branded fleet from coast to coast.
What happens if we change our logo or phone number? Is updating our fleet graphics difficult?
One big advantage of fleet graphics is that they’re relatively easy to update compared to painted signage. If you undergo a rebrand (new logo) or need to change information (say, a website URL or phone number), we can produce overlay decals or partial graphics to swap out just those elements. You don’t necessarily have to rewrap the entire fleet. For example, if your logo changed but your vehicle background wrap is still the same colors, we could print just the new logos and install them on top or in place of the old ones, which is quicker and cheaper than full replacements. Similarly, a phone number strip can be removed and a new one installed. Vinyl graphics allow flexibility to update. Of course, if the design change is drastic, we might need to redo the wraps to maintain the integrated look. But we can phase that in as needed, coordinating to minimize disruption. We keep your design files on hand, so even years later, we can easily retrieve measurements and placement to update parts of the design. Additionally, because we save everything, adding new vehicles with updated branding is straightforward. So whether it’s a minor info change or a full rebrand, we’ll help manage the transition so your fleet remains consistent. In short, you’re not “stuck” with one design forever – fleet graphics are adaptable, and we’re here to adapt them for you as your company evolves.
How long can we expect our fleet wraps/decals to last, and how do we care for them?
You can expect a good 5 to 7 years of service from high-quality fleet wraps in normal conditions. Many last even longer, but around the 5-year mark is when you might start to see a bit of wear (slight fading or minor edge lifting) especially on vehicles that are constantly outdoors. With our premium materials and proper installation, your fleet graphics will look great for years before any of that happens. Caring for fleet graphics is similar to caring for a car’s paint: regular cleaning is important. We recommend hand washing or touchless washing when possible, using mild detergent. If using a pressure washer, keep it a safe distance (no super close blasting, especially on edges or seams). Avoid harsh solvents or brushes on the graphics. One tip specific to fleets: if your vehicles go through automated truck washes, try to choose ones with softer brushes and make sure nozzles aren’t directly peeling at edges. We laminate all prints, so they are protected from UV and light scratches, which helps longevity. Also, parking vehicles under shade when possible will extend their graphic life (sun is the main factor in fading over many years). If a particular vehicle’s graphic gets damaged (say a fender wrap is torn in a collision), address it sooner rather than later – a patch or replacement panel can keep that vehicle looking in line with the rest. We can always print a replacement from the same batch colors. And remember, when the time comes to retire or sell a vehicle, the graphics can be removed by us or a qualified professional, typically with the paint left intact. We’re happy to provide a detailed care guide for your team, and we’re here if any maintenance issues arise. But overall, fleet graphics are designed for long-term outdoor use, so they don’t require a lot of babying – just a bit of common-sense care to keep them vibrant throughout their lifespan.
